Born January 28, 1928, Rev. Jonathan Urshan of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the age of 84. He was the loving husband of 50 years to Elizabeth Jane Urshan; beloved son of the late Timothy David and Anna Urshan; devoted father of Pastor Jonathan (Tammy) Urshan and Pastor Andrew (Bethany) Urshan; cherished grandfather of Jon David, Benjamin and Caleb Urshan; dear brother of David (Lorraine) Urshan and Mary Bennick; and beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his siblings John and Josiah Urshan, Lydia Harbrow and Ruth Copple. Rev. Jonathan Urshan was a well known preacher and Bible teacher who had ministered internationally. He pastored two growing Oneness Pentecostal congregations for a total of 40 plus years and also was an instructor in Bible Colleges in Mississippi and Missouri. During his ministry he served in various positions on a statewide and national level for the United Pentecostal Church International. At the time of his death he was the Pastor of Bethel Pentecostal Church in St. Peters, MO. He and his loving wife Libba celebrated 50 years of marriage on May 11, 2012. Services: The family is being served by The BAUE Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, MO. A visitation will be held at Bethel Pentecostal Church, 305 Jungermann Road, St. Peters MO on Thursday May 17, from 5-9 PM and on Friday May 18, from 10-11 AM, with a Funeral Service to follow. Interment at St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
