Evangelist Mildred Boyd was born in Fredonia, Kentucky. She was the wife of Hugh Boyd, and mother of Otis Boyd, and an adopted daughter of Martha Ann. Before going into ministry, Evangelist Mildred Boyd was a gifted teacher, which lead her later to become a missionary and a national evangelist of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. She Studied in Washington D.C., Toledo, Ohio and Philadelphia. She also attended classes at the Christian Theological Seminary at Butler University.
Evangelist Boyd was saved at Christ Temple Apostolic Church and later transferred her membership to Grace Apostolic Church. After which, the Lord led her to Zion Tabernacle Apostolic Faith Church, where she remained until the Lord called her from labor to reward. Evangelist Mildred Boyd was a woman of great faith. Through her ministry, many were healed of sickness and disease. Her ministry has caused many souls to be saved. She has inspired many through her dynamic sermons. Some of which include, He's The Master of Every Situation, Pray Until The Answer Comes, Come See A Man, to name just a few.
She encouraged the Saints by the way she praised the Lord in all things, rejoiced over souls being saved, her saintly appearance, her radiant love for people, her soft and gentle way - yet stern and sincere faith in God - always willing and ready to fast and pray for others. Indeed, Evangelist Boyd was a positive influential imp[act in the lives of many. Evangelist Mildred Boyd departed this early life on September 2, 1998.
Today, we continue to celebrate the loving memory, life and legacy of the woman of God, Evangelist Boyd and how she paved the way for many others. We are truly happy to recognize and honor Evangelist Boyd.
